On Right and Wrong…and Evolvement

I opened my editor this morning to write this blog post with one thing in mind…then something happened. I began listening to a recording of a call that I was scheduled to be on this past Sunday night, but missed because I got caught up making a triple batch of white chili for my friends and family and lost track of time. I had so much to weigh in on around that call, that I decided to just write about it here, especially since it ended up correlating with what I was going to write about anyway. Cleaning out email, I came across one with the subject line “[FINAL chance] FreshMember is shutting down..” the email went on to say “There’s less than 36 hours left before FreshMember prices are raised and the lifetime option is GONE.” I didn’t even have to open it to know that it was going to pitch me an “Act now or forever lose” spiel. My background is in sales and marketing. I taught courses on how to market more effectively and I’ve spent way more money than I wish to admit buying products and systems to help me get better results. I put myself under constant pressure to keep up with techniques, platforms and new ways of doing things. I was known to be quite savvy with knowledge, but became ineffective due to overload. There are just way too many people who are doing incredible things and will sell you something to teach you how they did it. Eventually, it became insanity.
